There is so much on during O Week to help you get to know your way around life at Uni.
Plan to be there
Orientation is the beginning of semester – Previously I have blogged about it as being your week 0 (zero). It is really important for new students to think of Orientation as the beginning. Coming during O Week gives you a few advantages. You will get a little better at finding your way around campus, meet a few friends in your course, you can do campus and library tours, there is always a sausage sizzle going on somewhere and there will be information on student services around campus at your fingertips.
Plan your day
The University makes it easy for you to find an plan your O Week with this Orientatio Planner… click here to find out more.
You simple enter your name and email address…
You will be asked what campus, your study area and type of degree you are studying – to make it as simple as possible there are easy to use drop down menus. Then click on Submit.
Once you submit this page, you will be able to select what sessions you need to attend and add them to your personal plan. Your plan will be printable and you can bring it with you for the week.
Your plan will look like this and you can see if things clash and change tour times etc.
Once you have your plan in hand, sort out your parking options. For information about parking options, check out this blog written last year.
Orientation begins with the Agora…. the University comes alive with information at your fingertips. You can check out clubs and societies, the LTSU (La Trobe Student Union) and book yourself a library tour.
