Last week, I put up a post about the Wellbeing Week happening on the Bundoora campus from the 16th-20th of May. But the regional campuses are not missing out! On Tuesday the 17th, LTU Bendigo and the BSA are teaming up to present the Big Chill!
Our wellbeing during these next few weeks is going to be tested. Our friends, family, fitness, diet and social life are somewhat set aside as we focus on the end of semester. Actually, who am I kidding? My exercise just consists of getting up to put my phone on charge (in b4 1%) and my diet is pizza forever.
Study is important but remember to take a break, and what better place to do that than on the SU floor from 12-2pm! There will be stacks of FREE activities such as FREE soup, FREE puppy cuddles and FREE massages. There’s also a ‘Learn with Vern’ circus skills class (because joining the circus actually seems like a serious option these days).
If you’re keen to get active, you can take advantage of the FREE access to Feelgood Fitness between 8am and 7pm. Feelgood is also holding a FREE meditation class from 1.30 pm and metafit class from 10:30am! These classes can usually be super pricey at your regular gym so please take advantage of this great offer. These sessions will really help you to relax and free your mind from all those wk 11/exam/life stressors!
There will also be representatives from great organisations such as Headspace, Anglicare, Lifeline and our very own counselling services. These approachable and understanding services do so much for Australia’s youth and they are utilised by more of us than you may think!
Head to the BSA Bendigo Facebook page for more information on any of the events I’ve mentioned. Please comment if you are from one of our other regional campuses and would like to see an initiative such as Wellbeing Week and the Big Chill on your campus!
